Historically, getting as-builts turned around in just six months was a major accomplishment at most utilities. But at Indiana American Water, a subsidiary of the largest publicly traded U.S. water and wastewater utility, they thought they could do better.

When the time came to re-assess legacy GIS workflows that included checking in and out files, manually transferring data in and out of the field, and using expensive technology to do it all — Indiana AmWater took the opportunity to see if there was a better solution on the market.
