Our Conference Sessions

The Eos team will be participating in the following sessions during the conference. Please join us for some informative discussion.

  • Session 1: Using High-Accuracy GPS to Replace Paper-Based Workflows and Complete As-Built Requirements

    Sep 27, 2022 / 2:45 pm - 3:45 pm  |

    Room Number: National Harbor 3

This presentation will begin with a discussion about how rural water utilities can transition from paper maps and manual workflows to affordable, easy-to-use digital field/office data-sharing workflows. Presenters will also provide real-world use cases and best practices from real rural water utilities deploying mobile GPS/GIS solutions and how they saved time in the field and office, supported growth and service expansion, and more. Presenters will bring GPS hardware for the audience to examine and will stay for Q&A. Attendees will learn: • The difference between GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) and GPS (Global Positioning System) • How external GPS receivers provide high-accuracy to consumer mobile devices • How to pick a GIS based mobile application based on experience / desired workflows • How accurate geospatial information from the field can be shared to the office in real time and vice versa
