Our Conference Sessions

The Eos team will be participating in the following sessions during the conference. Please join us for some informative discussion.

  • Session 1: Web GIS: Enabling Digital Maps & GPS Field Data Collection - Part 1

    Mar 14, 2022 / 9:10 am - 10:10 am  |

    Redwood 7

Today's utilities face the inevitable challenge of having to accomplish more with less. WebGIS enables data collection, visualization, and sharing of data critical to sustainable utility management. Maps have always been essential to understanding and improving the delivery of safe, clean drinking water and reliable sewer and stormwater services. This workshop will introduce WebGIS and how it enables digital mapping and applications that support daily field to office workflows. GIS based mobile applications that give staff the ability to view, collect, and share data will be discussed and demonstrated. In addition, presenters will share how data collected during field work can be used in dashboards to support monitoring daily activity and analytics for data driven decision making. Resources will be shared at the end of the presentation to provide attendees with additional information.

    • Dan Zylstra, Eos Positioning Systems
    • Eric Wagner, Esri
    • Suzy Timani, Esri
  • Session 2: Web GIS: Enabling Digital Maps & GPS Field Data Collection - Part 2

Maps have always been essential to understanding and improving the delivery of safe, clean drinking water and reliable sewer and stormwater services. In this workshop you will learn how modern GIS technology supports small and rural utility workflows with solutions that help you to set up digital maps and easy to use applications. The presentation and demonstrations will focus on how GIS enables field crews to quickly view and collect data with mobile devices and how this information can be easily shared with staff in the office as well as key stakeholders. In addition, discussion will include how this data can be used in simple analytics.
