From the moment a gas asset is installed and inspected, having the right field technology is critical. Not only is this where you capture the beginning of each asset’s lifecycle, but it is also where you can collect data to improve all downstream workflows. In essence, capturing highly accurate as-built and construction data for your gas assets in the field can result in saving millions of dollars in time, money, and happy customer service. In this session, Eos Positioning Systems GNSS Evangelist Satyam Dave will guide you through numerous successful deployments of high-accuracy GNSS mobile technology across India. He will also show you everything there is to know to get started with your own high-accuracy mapping solutions. Topics covered will include centimeter-level digital mobile mapping; underground utility mapping; latest trends in gas utilities adopting high-accuracy mapping worldwide; and recommended configurations (e.g., mobile devices, field gear, differential corrections sources).
