How to Put Together the Skadi Hand and Wrist Strap

In this short video, you’ll learn how to put together the Skadi Hand and Wrist Strap. You’ll also see how to attach this strap to your Skadi handle (smart or standard). The Skadi Hand and Wrist Strap is included with every Skadi Series™ GNSS receiver.

You will need your two-piece Skadi Hand and Wrist Strap and whichever Skadi handle you purchased.

Note the Skadi Hand and Wrist Strap is a two-piece accessory that fastens using hook-and-loop fasteners. The long vertical piece is the hand strap. The triangular piece is the wrist strap.

Step 1: Install the hand strap on your handle

Note one side of the hand strap has hook-and-loop fasteners. This side should face away from you and the handle.

Insert one end of the hand strap into the gray plastic top slot on the underside of your handle. Fold the hook-and-loop fasteners over themselves and press to secure.

Now repeat this with the bottom gray plastic slot. You’ve successfully secured your hand strap to the Skadi handle.

Press to seal the hook and loop fasteners.

Step 2: Connect the wrist strap to the hand strap

Next, take your wrist strap. Note that one side of this strap has a white Eos logo. This logo will face outward, away from you and the handle.

Press the hook-and-loop fasteners to the fasteners on the hand strap. 

Press the wrist strap's hook and loop fasteners — on the underside of the Eos logo — into the hook and loop fasteners of the hand strap.

Verify that the strap at the end of the wrist piece is looped toward you. This will hold your wrist.

Make sure the wrist strap loop is facing you. Slide your hand through this loop.

Keep sliding your hand until the loop rests on your wrist. tighten if desired.

Slide your hand through the hand strap and grab the Skadi handle.

You’ve successfully attached the Skadi Hand and Wrist Strap to your handle!

Hold the Skadi in your non-dominant hand so you may use your mobile device with your dominant hand.

Step 3: (Optional) Change sides

If you’d like to carry your handle in the opposite hand, simply remove the wrist strap from the hand strap, turn it 180 degrees, and press it back onto the hand strap. You can swap this as often as you like.

To change hand orientation, simply remove the wrist strap, flip it 180 degrees, and re-attach.

We recommend holding the handle in your non-dominant hand so your dominant hand can perform any work needed in your mobile app(s).

Tips:

The Skadi Hand and Wrist Strap is intended to be used as described in this tutorial. The wrist strap adds extra support and security when you relax your hand in the field. However, some people will prefer to use only the hand strap without the wrist strap. This is and a matter of personal preference. If you prefer to use the hand strap without the wrist strap, your handle will look like this:
