In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to mount and remove your Skadi Series™ GNSS receiver to and from your surveying range pole by using the included Pole Mounting Cradle Assembly from Eos Positioning Systems®. The two spring-loaded brackets on either side of the cradle assembly are movable and will shift to accommodate your Skadi receiver, which has matching notches on its sides. Note that we recommend leaving the cradle assembly threaded onto your range pole when not in use for the easiest way to mount your Skadi GNSS receiver; this video will demonstrate what that looks like.

In this video, we will show you how to install and remove your Skadi GNSS receiver to and from a surveying range pole with the included Skadi Pole Mounting Cradle Assembly.

Installing Your Skadi GNSS Receiver Onto a Surveying Range Pole
Let’s install the receiver.
Step 1. Take the Skadi receiver in both hands.
Step 2. Insert the far side of the receiver into the back bracket of the cradle assembly.
Step 3. Push the back receiver notch into the back bracket. You will feel the back bracket expand and lock in place.
Step 4. Bring the front of the receiver down and let the front bracket latch into the front notch until the receiver is secured.
Let’s see that again.
You have successfully mounted your Skadi onto the bracket.
Removing Your Skadi GNSS Receiver From a Surveying Range Pole
Now let’s remove the receiver.
Step 1. Place your thumbs on the front of the cradle assembly to anchor your hands.
Step 2. Place your fingers on the back of the receiver and use them to slide the Skadi receiver toward you.
The front bracket will slide toward you, releasing the back bracket from its notch.
Step 3. Now you can lift the receiver out of the cradle assembly.
Let’s see that one more time.
This concludes our tutorial.
