What is Required to Use the Skadi Smart Handle™?: Video

This video will explain what hardware, software, and related items are required to use the Skadi Smart Handle^™. The Skadi Smart Handle is an optional upgrade from the Skadi Standard Handle^™ that provides two robust features: the Invisible Range Pole^™ and Extensible Virtual Range Pole^™. It may be used with a Skadi 200^™, Skadi 300^™, or Skadi Gold^™ GNSS receiver from Eos Positioning Systems^®.

Hardware Requirements

You’ll need four pieces of hardware:

1. A Skadi 200, Skadi 300, or Skadi Gold GNSS receiver
2. The Skadi Smart Handle, which is an upgrade from the standard handle
3. A Windows^®, Android^™, or iOS^® device
4. And finally, the included Eos mounting bracket for your smartphone or tablet.

Software Requirements

You’ll need the Eos Tools Pro app installed on your mobile device. Download from all major app stores for free.

Finally, you’ll need a login to an RTK corrections provider. This could be a private or public RTK network or base station.

Once you have all of these components, you’re ready to mount your GNSS receiver to your Skadi Smart Handle.

How to Mount Your Skadi GNSS Receiver onto the Skadi Smart Handle

Make sure the battery is charged by pressing the battery power indicator button.  

Push both latches on the sides of the receiver simultaneously, while pulling the battery pack out of its slot.

Then insert the top of the smart handle into the receiver’s empty battery pack slot.

Finally, insert the battery pack into the bottom of your Skadi Smart Handle until it locks into place.

Congratulations, you’ve successfully mounted your Skadi Smart Handle!
