Map Water Assets Smarter with Esri Apps and Eos GNSS Receivers

Are you a water, wastewater, and/or stormwater professional exploring new GNSS solutions? Eos Positioning Systems specializes in GNSS receivers for water utilities of all sorts and sizes. Our GNSS receivers are totally device- and app-agnostic, offer maximum flexibility in the field, and provide options to enhance not just your accuracy but also your field safety and efficiency.

A Spicer Group staff member maps the location of a water service line asset. He's using an Arrow Gold GNSS receiver connected to the MDOT CORS network to achieve 1 cm positional accuracy, and he uses ArcGIS Field Maps on an iPad to collect the location and other related asset attributes directly onto a web map.

Easy, Affordable Accuracy

Eos GNSS receivers, including models from the Arrow Series® and Skadi Series™ support a range of accuracy levels, from submeter (about a couple feet) down to 1 centimeter level horizontal accuracy. Browse all our receiver models here.

Not sure which receiver model is most appropriate for you? Our team is happy to help! Just fill out an online contact form, and you’ll be matched with an authorized local Eos representative who can talk through your needs and determine which GNSS receiver model(s) would work best. All of our representatives are familiar with Esri apps.

Enhanced Safety and Efficiency

The brand-new Skadi Series GNSS receivers offer two new options designed specifically for GIS users: Skadi Tilt Compensation™ and the Skadi Smart Handle™. These work exclusively with the Skadi Gold™, Skadi 300™, and/or Skadi 200™ RTK GNSS receivers.

Invisible Range Pole mode is designed to continuously measure the X, Y, and Z position of the location of the ground or asset directly below the receiver. Seen here with field worker measuring stormwater manhole position

Skadi Tilt Compensation™

Skadi Tilt Compensation is the first tilt compensation solution designed specifically for ArcGIS users. With Skadi Tilt Compensation, your field crews no longer need to level their range poles before collecting a point, thereby increasing speed of data collection.

This extremely accurate feature introduces only about 0.3 millimeters (0.01 inches) of inaccuracy per degree of tilt.

With one less thing to think about, your field crews can finally focus on what matters: their data collection, without having to remember to bubble up!

Skadi Smart Handle™

The Skadi Smart Handle is a revolutionary new device that puts the power of RTK precision in your hand. Now you can finally survey 3D positions with a handheld GNSS. All you need is a compatible Skadi GNSS receiver, the smart handle, and an RTK corrections source. The smart handle operates in two modes: Invisible Range Pole™ and Extensible Virtual Range Pole™.

What is the Invisible Range Pole™?

Continuously compute the X, Y, and Z positions of any asset located directly under the Skadi GNSS receiver

Invisible Range Pole for the Skadi Series Smart Handle by Eos Positioning Systems : Continuous elevation to the ground

The Skadi Smart Handle has an Invisible Range Pole™, which continuously computes the X, Y, and Z positions of whatever is located directly underneath the Skadi GNSS receiver. This mimics the performance of a surveying range pole without having to carry one — all while you retain your 3D, survey-grade positional accuracy.

What is the Extensible Virtual Range Pole™?

GPS features on the ground — such as a pipe fitting in a trench — up to seven meters (about 20 feet) away with survey-grade accuracy

The Extensible Virtual Range Pole™ lets you GPS features on the ground — such as a pipe fitting in a trench — up to seven meters (about 20 feet) away.

The Extensible Virtual Range Pole uses a high-visibility green laser pointer to guide your aim, while a trigger button lets you send location data to any third-party app. With this feature, your crews can avoid climbing into trenches in order to survey as-builts.
