Each Precious Drop: California Utility Maps Recycled Water System with High-Accuracy GNSS and GIS
California’s Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is transforming how it maps and manages recycled water infrastructure by using high-accuracy GNSS and GIS. By pairing Eos GNSS receivers with ArcGIS Field Maps, EMWD has boosted field safety and mapping efficiency. The district plans to expand this workflow to potable-water and sewer systems and is also deploying Skadi Tilt Compensation and the Skadi Smart Handle for further gains. Ella Voorhees Brings Great Accuracy to the Great Smoky Mountains with GNSS
Meet Cartographic Technician Ella Voorhees, who plays a key role in protecting one of the most biodiverse landscapes in the United States: Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Ella began serving in the Smokies in 2024 as a CAC Americorps member until April 2025 when she transitioned to Smokies Life. Working under dense forest canopy, she uses Eos Laser Mapping™ for ArcGIS with Galileo High Accuracy Service to support critical conservation efforts.
