Spicer Group Helps St. Louis, Michigan, Modernize Asset Management
Spicer Group helped the City of St. Louis, Michigan, modernize its infrastructure mapping by integrating high-accuracy GNSS technology and ArcGIS Field Maps. Using the Arrow Gold® GNSS receiver with the MDOT CORS network, they achieved 1 cm positional accuracy. This upgrade supported the city’s shift from outdated paper maps to a reliable, cloud-based GIS system. The effort, funded by SAW and DWAM state grants, improved utility data accuracy, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness, while enabling efficient asset management and ongoing infrastructure improvements.

Tanner Arrington Combats Invasive Species with Highly Accurate Machine Learning Models
For Tanner Arrington, nature is more than just a backdrop to his work — it’s the purpose behind it. As an independent GIS Consultant and former GIS Manager at the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), Tanner used Arrow 100 and Arrow Gold GNSS receivers with Esri’s ArcGIS apps to deliver reliable, high-accuracy data across a wide range of projects, including mapping trails, georeferencing drone imagery, and tracking the spread of invasive species. His goal is to use high-confidence data to represent — and care for — the world we live in.
