Why I Won’t Use Anything Else: Over A Decade of Trust in Eos Positioning Systems

Chris Kahn of AlphaRTK - With Eos Positioning Systems since day one

This past month, Eos Positioning Systems celebrated 12 years of pioneering GNSS technology. Today, we mark this milestone by reflecting on something we’ll never take for granted: our very first user.

Back when Eos GNSS was just a sparkle in our founder’s eye, Chris Kahn spent time with our team as our first technology was taking shape. Shortly thereafter, he became the first person in the world to put Eos GNSS receivers to the test in the field. What’s extraordinary isn’t just that he was there at the beginning; it’s that his enthusiasm for Eos is stronger than ever, more than a decade later.

Get to know Chris in this video interview. Learn why he chooses Arrow and Skadi GNSS receivers for work all over the world, from construction projects in the Caribbean to precision agriculture in the Atlantic Northeast.

We’re truly grateful for the rare opportunity to build such lasting relationships with our users. The trust you put into our people and products is what drives us forward.

This month we received a question about Arrow GNSS antenna cables, so we took the opportunity to put together an article explaining why the cables are important — and how best to mount them. Browse through the setups we recommend, why we recommend them, and the dos and don’ts of mounting your Arrow GNSS receiver.

RTK Station Setup Tips: How to Get Your Base Station Running Smoothly

An RTK base station is a fixed reference point that sends GNSS corrections to mobile receivers (i.e., rovers) to achieve real-time survey-grade accuracy. If the base setup is wrong, this can impact all your measurements. This article from our friends at AlphaRTK walks you through best practices, start to finish: from picking a good location to monitoring signal quality and connection.
