Minnesota’s Ellingson Companies provides gas utilities with high-accuracy, real-time as-builting services. In this recorded session from the 2022 Esri User Conference (Esri UC), GIS Manager Damon Nelton explains how a simple request to incorporate high-accuracy field data collection resulted in him leading his team to completely rethinking and refreshing how they capture asset information in the field. Today, Ellingson Companies is capturing gas-distribution assets within centimeters of accuracy, sometimes in extremely mountainous territory.
